Terms of Service
Last updated 12 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of Kingpin (the “Service”), the vertical feed, board, and related pages at this domain. By submitting a card, placing a bid, voting, or commenting, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
Kingpin lets a founder submit a product card and pay to set its starting position in a public feed. The crowd then votes the card up or down, shifting its position from that starting point according to the ranking formula described in the Rules. We can change the formula, the feed layout, categories, or any other part of the Service at any time, including retroactively to a bid already placed, to keep the Service fair, safe, or functioning.
2. Bids, refuels, and payments
Bids and refuels are processed through Razorpay. Amounts are shown and charged in the currency displayed at checkout. A completed payment is confirmed only once we receive and verify Razorpay’s webhook — a payment that Razorpay reports as captured is final.
Bids and refuels are non-refundable, except where: (a) your card is rejected in moderation before ever appearing in the feed, in which case the bid tied to it is refunded; (b) required by applicable law; or (c) we determine in our judgment that a payment was made in error or resulted from abuse of the Service. Placing a bid does not guarantee any minimum rank, duration in the feed, or number of impressions or clicks — your rank moves with the crowd vote and the decay/refuel curve regardless of amount paid.
3. Content you submit
You're responsible for everything in your card — hook text, media, and destination link. You represent that you own or have the rights to submit it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
You may not submit content that:
- is illegal, or promotes an illegal product, service, or activity;
- is sexually explicit, or depicts or promotes violence against people or animals;
- constitutes hate speech, harassment, or targets a person or group;
- is fraudulent, deceptive, or a scam (including fake giveaways or impersonation);
- infringes a third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; or
- links to malware, phishing, or anything designed to compromise a visitor’s device or accounts.
Every card is screened by automated moderation and a review gate before it appears in the feed. We may reject, suspend, or permanently remove any card, at any time, with or without notice, for violating this section — including after it has already accrued votes or clicks.
4. Voting and comments
Votes must be your own, genuine reaction, cast through the Service’s normal flow. You may not use automation, scripts, multiple accounts or devices, or coordinated groups of people to inflate or deflate a card’s votes. We run automated integrity checks — including per-network rate limits and confidence weighting — and may discount, reverse, or ignore votes we determine are not genuine, without notice.
Comments require a Certified account and may not contain a URL. We may remove any comment and suspend or revoke any account for abuse, harassment, spam, or violating Section 3’s content rules.
5. Accounts and identity
You can use the voting features as a guest, identified only by a device fingerprint, or sign in with an OAuth provider to become “Certified,” which unlocks commenting and a higher vote weight. You’re responsible for activity under your Certified account. We don’t support passwords — access is by OAuth or a magic link, and losing access to the associated email or provider account may mean losing access to your account.
6. Click counts and the badge
Click counts shown on a card, its ledger, and its embeddable badge are filtered for suspected non-human traffic and are an estimate of genuine engagement, not a raw hit counter. We don’t guarantee their precision, only that the same filtering is applied to every card.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any rank, vote count, or click count will be free from momentary inconsistency as the feed materializes and caches.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kingpin and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose, or ₹5,000 (or the equivalent in your payment currency), whichever is greater.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, remove any card, and withhold or reverse any related credit, at any time, for violating these Terms or the Rules.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms, a takedown request, or a billing dispute — see the contact details on the Privacy Policy page, or reach out via @Surajm_ on X.
